Obama: Trump ‘a bully’ on climate change

President Barack Obama said Tuesday that Trump is a bully who has undermined American leadership on climate issues.

“This president, like many others, has tried to divide our country and he has undermined our institutions,” Obama said during a speech at the University of Southern California.

“It’s time to make clear that he does not represent the values of this country.”

Trump has repeatedly questioned the scientific consensus that humans are the cause of climate change.

In an interview with The New York Times, Trump said the Paris climate accord would be “the worst deal ever made” and accused Obama of being a “puppet of China.”

Trump also has said he believes climate change is a hoax.

In a statement, Trump described Obama as “the most dishonest person” to hold the office of president.

“He knows more about the world than any of us do,” Trump said.

“The Paris Agreement was a total and complete disaster for our country, our economy and our people.

“Americans must not accept a president who is out of touch with reality and the reality of the world. “

We will not allow a president to bully the United States of America, or a president whose only aim is to enrich himself and his family at the expense of the people of this great nation.” “
